Emergency Management

Purpose

The City of New Berlin's Emergency Management Department has been established to aid and manage all City of New Berlin, Waukesha County, State of Wisconsin, and federal emergency response and management agencies in the event of a local emergency.

Responsibilities

We assist all emergency response agencies to ensure that the resources required for a safe and effective response and/or recovery are made available to the citizens of New Berlin. The department works with county, state, and federal agencies to ensure that all recovery resources are made available, including after the fact grants, loans, and public assistance programs.

The Emergency Management Department is also tasked with the responsibility of training and familiarizing the citizens of New Berlin to help them avoid becoming victims of man-made or natural disaster

Communications

You can be sent free Emergency Alert texts or email on your smart cellphone or computer by enrolling in the "Notify Me" program. Simply click on the "Notify Me" icon to the left and follow the simple enrollment instructions.
