A public hearing was held at the Plan Commission on September 9, 2015
regarding the proposed amendments. Plan Commission approved the amendments at the October 5, 2015 Plan Commission meeting via Resolution #15-03. The Common Council approved the amendments at the October 13, 2015 Council meeting via Ordinance #2553.
Note: The Plan Commission also held a special Plan Commission meeting on August 24, 2015 to review the amendments.

The Department of Community Development has recently completed an extensive public participation effort regarding the future planning and Comprehensive Plan amendments for the South Moorland Road Corridor located within Sections 34 and 35. The purpose of the public outreach efforts was to gather input on proposed Future Land Use map changes within the South Moorland Road Neighborhood planning area.
The public participation included a variety of methods to gather feedback and engage the community in the planning project. Please see the Public Participation Summary to learn more about the community involvement techniques that were used.
