The Department of Community Development is working with the Plan Commission on an update to the City's 2030 Comprehensive Plan. The Plan Commission will act as the Steering Committee for this update and will provide feedback regarding the proposed updates. Per the State Statutes, a public hearing will be held before the Plan Commission in order to present the proposed amendments. The Common Council will adopt the final changes via ordinance.
The current Comprehensive Plan was adopted in 2009 and was updated in 2016 to address code updates and basic housekeeping items. The goal of the 2030 Comprehensive Plan Update is to update, refresh and reorganize the plan to reflect the future growth of the City and its community members.
