PICNIC SHELTER RENTALS

Park shelter areas in New Berlin are available for rent for various social gatherings. Reservations for any shelter (available for rent) may be made either online or in-person at the Recreation Department office located 15321 W National Ave, New Berlin, WI 53151. We are unable to "hold" picnic shelters - payment must be submitted at the time of reservation. We do not accept reservations over the phone or by email.

New Berlin resident requests for picnic shelter reservations are accepted online or in-person starting the second Monday in January at 9:00 AM for the upcoming season. Non-residents may reserve a site starting on the first Monday in March. Picnic sites will not be rented out for Malone Park from June 28 through July 8. This gives sufficient time for park crews to set up and tear down the annual Fourth of July Festival. Please note this list is not updated throughout the year and does not include private reservations.

Regulations

City Ordinance 168 establishes park use rules and regulations governing parks and parkways under the jurisdiction of the New Berlin Parks, Buildings and Grounds Commission, including prohibition of horses, golfing, and the operation of any motorized vehicles except in designated posted areas. Dogs are allowed in the parks but must be on a leash and are not allowed on athletic fields or in spectator areas. Glass beverage containers are prohibited in all public parks, and use of alcoholic beverages requires a park permit.

COMMUNITY CENTER RENTALS

The New Berlin Community Center (14750 W Cleveland Avenue, New Berlin, WI 53151) provides space for a variety of recreational and educational programs, and it is also a facility that community organizations and the public can rent for meetings and various social gatherings. The Community Center is also the home of the New Berlin Senior Citizens Club and the New Berlin Food Pantry.

**Please note that the Food Pantry is ONLY open on Wednesdays. Donors can drop off perishable and non-perishable items from 9:30 AM to 5:15 PM and recipients can pick up items from 12:00 PM to 5:15 PM. For more information on Food Pantry, please call (262) 789-8040. The New Berlin Food Pantry is not affiliated with the City of New Berlin.

Rental Information

The New Berlin Community Center (14750 W Cleveland Avenue, New Berlin, WI 53151) has rooms that are available to rent for meetings, weddings, family reunions, birthdays, or other occasions when a room is needed for people to gather. Please view the following resources for additional rental information. Rooms, capacities, fees, deposits, amenities, and policies may be found in the Community Center Rental Packet. Please note: Community Center reservations will only be accepted in-person by the Recreation Department at The Activity and Recreation Center (15321 W National Ave, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM). Reservations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. We cannot "hold" a date for a Community Center reservation. Both the security deposit and rental fees must be paid in full at the time of reservation. The security deposit must be paid with a debit or credit card. Community Center rentals can be made up to 4 months in advance. Please call (262) 797-2443 with any questions.

Birthday Parties at the A.R.C

Pizza: Includes everything from “Basic party” AND pizza and juice boxes for 20 attendees.                                                              $275

All-In: Includes everything from “Pizza party” AND a Recreation Staff will lead an hour of activities for attendees during your party. $325
