City employee John W. Bauer retired from the City of New Berlin in May of 1998 after 30 years of service as an Engineer and Building Maintenance Manager. The creation of the John Bauer award was announced at John’s retirement party, noting his commitment to get the job done, as well as his outstanding service to internal and external customers.
Continuing the tradition, the Mayor’s Office is seeking nominations of City employees for this award. Nominations are encouraged from fellow employees, supervisors, aldermen, or citizens. The nominations should be a written description of no more than 500 words, explaining the outstanding customer service the nominee has provided to their fellow employees and the residents of the City of New Berlin. The Employee Recognition Committee, comprised of 10 City employees, will individually rank the nominations. The ranking will be tabulated and the results announced at a later date.
