In an effort to address recent missed/delayed pickups, Waste Management has now brought in rented trucks to make up for recent equipment failures. Also, in an effort to rectify our Garbage/Recycling pickup delays, Waste Management has now hired a third party to complete bulky item collection (pictured below). This will allow their current drivers to focus on regular residential curbside collection.
Please keep in mind that residents are allowed one bulk item per week free of charge, as long as it is 50 lbs or less and is manageable by one person (ie furniture, metal items). This type of bulk item does not need to be called in. If, however, bulk items exceed the size/weight limits or are appliances, residents must contact the Customer Call Center at 262-369-3080 or, better yet, use the City’s Contact Us Form. Charges may be applicable for larger items. Bulk items have been less of a priority during these delays, but are once again being addressed by Waste Management.
