1. How do I become appointed to a city board, commission, or committee?: With only a few exceptions, appointments are made by the mayor and confirmed by the Common Council. Terms of volunteer appointees vary from one to five years. Please submit a brief resume to the mayor’s office at:

2. Does the mayor have open office hours?: The mayor has open office hours the fourth Saturday of the month from 10 am to Noon here at City Hall. However the Mayor does have an open door policy during normal business hours. If he is available in his office, he will accommodate any citizen who would like to visit. However, an appointment may work best for both you and the mayor. Please call (262) 797-2441 to make arrangements. We welcome your input and need to hear your concerns, so please stop by or call!

3. How long is the mayor’s term of office?: The mayor's term of office is four years. Mayor Ament’s current term (his third) ends in April 2025.

6. Does the mayor give tours of City Hall?: Absolutely! Our tours are great for school groups, boy scout troops, or senior citizens. Call the mayor’s executive assistant at (262) 797-2441 to schedule a date.
